This year, we chose to celebrate the Chinese New Year in Bangkok along with the family. Spending time overseas during the New Year can be pretty great time to time! Especially when you visit a city like Bangkok, where almost every stores remains open.

Shortly after we checked in, we visited this Pork Noodle stall near our hotel – Silq Hotel. We ended up visiting this stall multiple times during this trip as it was delicious!
The day we touched down was the eve of Chinese New Year, and it’s also the day when the Chinese have their family reunion dinner. My brother picked Noi Seafood at Huay Khwang, a rather unique place for our reunion dinner. Always great to see a restaurant filled with more locals than tourists!

Needed some dessert after a sumptuous meal. Nothing shouts “Tourist!” more than eating the freshly-prepared Mango Sticky Rice by the roadside.

Next, we went to one of the newer Bangkok night market – Talad Rot Fai at Ratchada area (Nearest MRT station: Thailand Cultural Center). There were lots of shopping, food, drinks, and even barbers available there. Will highly recommend anyone to visit there for the atmosphere and to chill!

And that’s the end of Day 1! Two more days to go!
